We thank the team at Built Environs Pty. Ltd. for their professionalism during the procurement process and look forward to demonstrating our abilities to the project team during the construction process. CHILLER TRAINING
Keeping with our Group policy of continous improvement two of our senior service technicians in Westside Services (SA) Pty. Ltd. have recently completed a software training course with Powerpax for their energy efficient range of products. Westside can now look after all of the needs for Powerpax chillers in South Australia as required.
PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS (PPP)
In this industry not all news is good news and we certainly were delivered a blow when the South Australian Government cancelled the prisons project. The 600 million dollar project was being delivered by a PPP process and Westide was the mechanical services partner on a consortium led by a group of Australian banks with Multiplex and Hansen Yuncken in a JV for the building portion of the works. While the Governments decision was hard to accept at the time they obviously believe it was in the best interests of the state. Our bid team worked outstandingly well together and we were very confident of the position we had ourselves in. Westside would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our bid partners for their efforts and opportunities provided over the time we were together.
INNOVATION
The Adelaide Clipsal 500 V8 supercar car race is one of Australia's premier motor sport events attracting in excess of 300,000 people over the 4 day event. Around 3,000 of those including race officials, corporate's and media are housed in the worlds largest demountable building and Westside were part of the project team engaged to provide a cooling solution in very tricky circumstances.
