2007 Westside achieve MBA Excellence in Services Award - Two Years Running
Entry: City Central Tower 1, Adelaide
Westide has been awarded the prestigious 'Excellence in Building Services' award for the second year in a row at the 2007 Master Builders Association award night.
The City Central Tower 1 project is one of the most prestigious buildings undertaken in South Australia and the first to achieve a 5 star Greenstar rating. With a final contract value exceeding 13 million dollars for the mechanical services works it was not only one of the most demanding mechanical projects let in South Australia but also the largest.
Judges Comments
"This award winning project is the first 5 star 'Greenstar' rated building in Adelaide. Westside Mechanical Contracting did an excellent jobof working within the constraints of space and time whilst installing the equipment and associated ductwork. To avoid congestion, work was required to be carefully scheduled and carried out within these constriants. The Westside Group rose to the challenge of understanding new technology, including the chilled beam technology imported from Sweden. The overall result was outstanding."
2006 - Westside win MBA Excellence In Services Award

August 2006 - Westside Mechanical Contracting Pty Ltd win the Master Builders Association's Excellence In Services Award 2006 for The Advertiser Building.
Master Builders Association Building Excellence Awards are the most prestigious awards open to builders in South Australia.
The Awards recognise and acknowledge building excellence across all sectors of the industry.
Judges Comments: "Westside Mechanical Contracting demonstrated an outstanding ability to meet a wide range of complex mechanical service requirements. Their relationship with the head contractor was excellent and their ability to meet tight deadlines and provide innovative solutions impressed the judges.
The dedication of the entire team at Westside to the success of this landmark project was outstanding and Westside is to be commended on their achievements."
2004 - Westside win MBA Excellence In Services Award
Entry: Playford Civic Centre
13th August 2004 - Westside Mechanical Contracting Pty Ltd win the Master Builders Association's Excellence In Services Award 2004 for the Playford Civic Centre.
We had been proud finalists in the category of "Excellence in Building Services" for two years running and took out the award in 2004.
This award is recognition of our efforts to provide the most professional service possible to our clients. In partnership with our specialist sub-contractors and suppliers we provided for this project, as we do for all works undertaken, a quality product, competitive price and a hassle free approach.
Judges' Comments: "The project required the supply and installation of air-conditioning and ventilation systems to new council chambers and function centre and a service upgrade to the existing Shedley Theatre. The overall standard was Excellent!"
