WESTSIDE MECHANICAL CONTRACTING

 

Westside Mechanical Contracting Pty Ltd is a DTEI category 1 Government prequalified contractor and specialises in air conditioning and mechanical services installations for commercial / industrial / government applications. The Westside project construction success is complimented and supported in the defects liability period by our service and maintenance company, Westside Services (SA) Pty. Ltd.

Our ability to continuously deliver quality solutions through all stages of a project's life cycle is the difference between Westside Mechanical Contracting and others in this industry.

Our experience and success has been built on our ability to effectively co-ordinate and sequence work in both new developments and within occupied spaces. A high percentage of successful projects have been undertaken within fully functional and operational buildings where stringent client's demands and requirements are evident every minute of the project.

Two areas of particular strength of our company are the dedicated and customer focused people and the high level of quality delivered throughout the entire project. All projects regardless of dollar value are delivered with the same level of co-operation and co-ordination involving all project stakeholders. The end result is that we completely meet our client's value and quality requirements.

Being involved in projects which demand and test our ability only strengthens our resolve to achieve the results required. West Lakes Mall Redevelopment and the Elder School of Music Redevelopment at The Adelaide University are two examples of projects which have been successfully delivered in demanding situations – fully functioning and operating public entities.

 

 

In keeping with our policy of open and inclusive business practices we can give assurance we have the total support of our team primarily being our client base, financiers, suppliers and specialist sub-contractors to successfully undertake major mechanical services projects. In reaching this point we have placed a strong emphasis on the following areas.

Partnerships

An important part of the Westside business development philosophy is to form strategic relationships with our clients, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers who form an important part of our business. On the basis that successful relationships are reciprocal, Westside actively seeks to continuously learn about other industries and markets. We understand the business of networking with clients, associates and contacts so we can provide as many business opportunities to others as we seek for ourselves.

DTEI Category 1 Prequalification

Having successfully undertaken large projects of a complicated nature in the private sector of the commercial and industrial sector of the building industry Westside Mechanical Contracting Pty Ltd is now registered as a DTEI Category 1 specialist services contractor. This allows us to now demonstrate our ability and professionalism in the government public sector.

Financial

Strong financial performance has been achieved by working together with our financial and accounting professionals using an open business policy. Westside has demonstrated through pure financial performance that our business is sound and credit worthy. The resultant relationship includes Westside as a corporate banking customer with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia which provides us with access to the facilities you would expect at this level including the ability to provide the necessary contractual securities required for major projects.

The same partnership developed over time with our suppliers and specialist sub-contractors means in part that the credit accounts provided reflect the amounts necessary to procure major equipment and services.

Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA)

It is our assessment that on major projects Construction Managers and Builders mostly prefer their specialist contractors to have direct labour. As a result we have successfully achieved an industry leading EBA. Our own quality focussed installation team of directly employed duct erectors have a certified company EBA which also allows us to balance and compliment our construction activities with sub-contract installers as the situation and individual project requires.

Service & Maintenance Our service Company, Westside Services (SA) Pty Ltd, not only compliments our Contracting activities by attending to our service and maintenance obligations during the defects liability period, but is an independently successful organisation in its own right. We currently have a fleet of fully equipped service vehicles on the road operating on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
